When most store fronts in the famous River Arts District of Asheville want to grab your attention, they usually add material. But this collaborative design required a large amount of creative demolition. The right blend of scraping, pressure washing and grinding allowed for visual space to add interest with solid shapes. An entrance worthy of the finest art available of all the River Arts to date.
Remember it well.
This reclaimed wood siding from the Caboose at the Greybeard trailhead (salvaged originally by the lifelong missionary Kenneth J. Foreman Jr. of Montreat) was preserved and milled to create a nostalgic wainscoting veneer in the main seating area at Moments Coffee Bar in Swannanoa, NC endearingly for his son, Joseph Foreman.
